Samsung reaffirmed its commitment to advancing AI and hyperconnectivity in India, citing the nation’s significance as a burgeoning AI hub on March 22. JH Han, Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman, highlighted India’s pivotal role, with its vast market and tech-savvy youth inspiring innovation. Notably, Samsung holds a commanding 18% share in India’s smartphone market. The company recently introduced Galaxy AI as part of its ‘AI for All’ initiative, integrating AI features into the new Galaxy S24 series. With a focus on democratizing AI, Samsung inaugurated a connected lifestyle store in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex, showcasing its latest innovations. Collaboration and connectivity remain central to Samsung’s vision for India’s tech landscape.


Decathlon To Elevate India To One Of Its Top Five Markets

Decathlon, the renowned French sports brand, aims to elevate India to one of its top five markets within the next five years, with plans to open 10 new stores annually. Steve Dykes, chief retail and countries officer, emphasized this ambition during an event in Paris, where the company unveiled its new logo and brand identity. With 60% of Decathlon products already made in India, Dykes expressed intent to increase this to 90-95%. Currently boasting 122 stores in 19 states, Decathlon aims for sustainability by sourcing components closer to India, aligning with the ‘Make in India’ initiative. The company embraces India’s evolving sporting culture, recognizing the importance of sports in promoting health and well-being. Global CEO Barbara Martin Coppola highlighted the role of sports in combating stress and sedentary lifestyles.

PM Modi Gets Bhutan’s Highest Civilian Award

During a two-day visit to Thimphu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was bestowed with Bhutan’s highest civilian award, the Order of the Druk Gyalpo, marking a historic moment as the first non-Bhutanese recipient. Modi, expressing gratitude, stated, “This honor is not my personal achievement, it is the honor of India and 140 crore Indians.” The visit also increased bilateral ties, with India and Bhutan signing multiple memorandums of understanding (MoUs) covering areas such as energy, trade, digital connectivity, space, agriculture, and youth engagement. Additionally, Modi pledged Rs 10,000 crores of support to Bhutan over the next five years, solidifying the strengthened partnership.

Air India’s Limited Period Enticing Fares


Air India has unveiled a limited-period sale, offering enticing special fares for flights to and from select destinations across South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. Business class fares are discounted by up to 35% compared to regular base fares, according to airline officials. The promotional fares cover routes to Singapore, Bangkok, Phuket, Dhaka, Colombo, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Jeddah, Bahrain, Muscat, and Kuwait. Bookings are open for two weeks until April 2, with travel permitted until September 30. Seats are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, available through various booking channels including Air India’s website, app, and authorized travel partners.

CSK Begins Its Title Defense With A Victory Over RCB
In the IPL 2024 opener on March 22, newly appointed Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad led his squad to victory against Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), triumphing by 6 wickets at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Mustafizur Rahman’s outstanding performance earned him the ‘Player of the Match’ title for his 4-wicket haul. RCB, batting first after losing the toss, managed 173/6, with Anuj Rawat (48) and Dinesh Kartik (38*) leading the charge. CSK chased down the target with contributions from Gaikwad, Rachin Ravindra, Ajinkya Rahane, Daryl Mitchell, Shivam Dube, and Ravindra Jadeja. CSK’s historic dominance over RCB continued, with 20 victories in 31 encounters.
